2 years agoYou lie. I have been through 2 sets of X-Rays on my knees. I explained then that I had had stiffness in the two tendons on the back of my leg above and behind the knee, which hit me with acute pain on Jan 2, 2022 while snow blowing. The first set was on Byron Center Rd., who referred me to the main hospital afterward because the x-rays revealed nothing acute wrong with my knee, and they didn't have an MRI. I visited a chiropractor in the interim at the advice of a family member, which I had never done before. When he found there was no pain around me knee, no problems with range of motion, and x-rays showed nothing acute wrong, he knew exactly where to press along the inside upper leg, and down my leg and well past my knee, meaning it is more likely from sitting 14-18 hours a day, but said he wouldn't comment without an MRI. This I also mentioned at the second appointment, which was at the hospital. They told me to use valet parking, but I felt guilty so I carried crutches bound together under my arm, which they witnessed. They wanted to do a second set of X-Rays because the first set showed nothing much amiss but a couple bone spurs, but they wanted me standing for them. Oddly, they wanted to x-ray both legs. When they reviewed the X-Rays, they showed me and also said the same as the Byron Center location, but no MRI was performed. This was less than two weeks after the incident, and by now I had no issues other than a little stiffness immediately after prolonged siting, which I did not have while there, even after sitting, which they also witnessed. They found no pain points and very little limit to range of motion. As in the previous appointment, I mentioned that I had put on weight staying up late working on an orphanage in Colombia, sitting long hours, and put on weight over the past year going from my normal 175-190 to present weight, which limited me to 2.6 to 4.6 miles, and not taking the time to do it religiously. They saw no issue with me working my way back into running. They offered me a sleeve for my leg, which I turned down because I told them I would feel guilty taking something I wouldn't wear. The only thing I changed since the injury was limiting how long I sit, getting proper rest, not eating late, and working my way back in 1/2-mile increments. NOW I read "severe degeneration in my knees". This is not possible, nor does it line up with the x-rays as confirmed by both Byron Center and Grand Rapids, nor does that happen over a period of 1 year, and 2 years before that training for the Wisconsin 140.6. Butterworth and Blodgett did things like this in my Dad's record with fabrications of things that never happened and were removed after I confronted them and informed insurance. I expected more of St. Mary's where my mom worked as a nurse her entire life and family members do to this day. I race the orphan kids in Colombia up to the age of 16 to the top in the Andes using hands and feet because the incline is steep enough. I almost win, never do, but never place less than 3rd. I will print this out and use this as my excuse, and show the neighbors, two of whom are nurses, who are watching me get back into what they are used to seeing. The bottom line is your track record for integrity is getting to be no better than Butterworth's and Blodgett's was for my dad, and you are turning into a system just like them. My mom, now 102, worked there her whole life, and you have recently treated our family members who work for you contemptibly. Don't bother me with E-mails or referencing this account any further. Consider me as one with no Internet, no cell phone for texts, and no physicals. Visiting to ensure nothing serious might be wrong is now a risk to livelihood be avoided. Don't bother with sorry to hear you feel that way. I don't feel, I go by facts.
