Things to note before removing GT eToken:

  1. The developer of GT eToken is Guaranty Trust Bank PLC and all inquiries must go to them.
  2. Check the Terms of Services and/or Privacy policy of Guaranty Trust Bank PLC to know if they support self-serve subscription cancellation:
  3. The GDPR gives EU and UK residents a "right to erasure" meaning that you can request app developers like Guaranty Trust Bank PLC to delete all your data it holds. Guaranty Trust Bank PLC must comply within 1 month.
  4. The CCPA lets American residents request that Guaranty Trust Bank PLC deletes your data or risk incurring a fine (upto $7,500 dollars).

Deleting from Smartphone 📱


Delete on iPhone:


  1. On your homescreen, Tap and hold GT eToken until it starts shaking.
  2. Once it starts to shake, you'll see an X Mark at the top of the app icon.
  3. Click on that X to delete the GT eToken app.

Delete on Android:


  1. Open your GooglePlay app and goto the menu.
  2. Click "My Apps and Games" » then "Installed".
  3. Choose GT eToken, » then click "Uninstall".

🎌 About GT eToken


1. To activate your GT eToken app, select your customer type and choose your preferred activation method, which can be the use of your Bank card, Hardware Token or by calling contact center to get an authorization code.

2. Electronic transactions include (but may not be limited to) web, internet banking and mobile banking transactions, where you are required to enter a 6-digit token-generated code.

3. A one-time password (OTP) is a secure and automatically generated string of characters that authenticates the user for login and/or electronic transaction completion.

4. The GT eToken is a mobile application for generating One Time Passwords (OTPs) used in authenticating electronic transactions.

5. A one-time password (OTP) generated from your GT eToken App can be used as an alternative to or alongside the GTBank hardware token device.

6. You can find more information about GT eToken on or contact GTCONNECT contact center on 080 2900 2900 or 080 3900 3900.

7. Once your app is activated, you can create a unique 4-digit PIN that will be used for subsequent log in to the application and enjoy 24/7 banking.

8. Note: To avoid your OTP being used by anyone, you absolutely DO NOT DISCLOSE OTP code for anyone.

9. Your data ID will be verified to complete the activation.
