Things to note before removing BARD:

  1. The developer of BARD is Library of Congress and all inquiries must go to them.
  2. Check the Terms of Services and/or Privacy policy of Library of Congress to know if they support self-serve account deletion:
  3. The GDPR gives EU and UK residents a "right to erasure" meaning that you can request app developers like Library of Congress to delete all your data it holds. Library of Congress must comply within 1 month.
  4. The CCPA lets American residents request that Library of Congress deletes your data or risk incurring a fine (upto $7,500 dollars).

Deleting from Smartphone 📱


Delete on iPhone:


  1. On your homescreen, Tap and hold BARD Mobile until it starts shaking.
  2. Once it starts to shake, you'll see an X Mark at the top of the app icon.
  3. Click on that X to delete the BARD Mobile app.

Delete on Android:


  1. Open your GooglePlay app and goto the menu.
  2. Click "My Apps and Games" » then "Installed".
  3. Choose BARD Mobile, » then click "Uninstall".

Bard has been unable to show me my search or generated content. After searching my prompt i won't see it on my screen.

1. Access tens of thousands of books—from current best sellers to much-loved classics, popular magazines, and music instruction and scores—in audio and electronic braille, with new selections added daily.

2. This app allows access for eligible users who have enrolled in the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS) at the Library of Congress.

3. NLS provides free audio and braille reading materials to residents of the US and American citizens living abroad who cannot read regular print.

4. If you are blind or have temporary or permanent low vision or a physical or reading disability that prevents you from holding or reading the printed page, you may be eligible for this program.

5. If you are already an NLS patron, contact your cooperating NLS library to request a BARD account.

6. To enroll, call 1-888-NLS-READ (1-888-657-7323) and follow the prompts to find your state.

7. BARD Mobile is a service of NLS.
