We have made it super easy to delete Notes account and/or app.

Things to note before removing Notes:

  1. The developer of Notes is Apple and all inquiries must go to them.
  2. Check the Terms of Services and/or Privacy policy of Apple to know if they support self-serve subscription cancellation:
  3. The GDPR gives EU and UK residents a "right to erasure" meaning that you can request app developers like Apple to delete all your data it holds. Apple must comply within 1 month.
  4. The CCPA lets American residents request that Apple deletes your data or risk incurring a fine (upto $7,500 dollars).

Deleting from Smartphone 📱


Delete on iPhone:


  1. On your homescreen, Tap and hold Notes until it starts shaking.
  2. Once it starts to shake, you'll see an X Mark at the top of the app icon.
  3. Click on that X to delete the Notes app.

Delete on Android:


  1. Open your GooglePlay app and goto the menu.
  2. Click "My Apps and Games" » then "Installed".
  3. Choose Notes, » then click "Uninstall".

1. Notes is the best place to jot down quick thoughts or to save longer notes filled with checklists, images, web links, scanned documents, handwritten notes, or sketches.

2. • Just swipe with an Apple Pencil or finger from the bottom right corner on any compatible iPad to start a Quick Note outside the app.

3. • See what others added into a shared note while you were away with Activity view, a day-to-day list summary of activity from each collaborator.

4. • Search for text in notes, your handwriting, and even inside scanned documents and photos like receipts or bills.

5. You can also use Fn-Q (Globe-Q) on a keyboard, or create Quick Notes on iPhone from the share menu in an app.

6. • A Tag Browser in the sidebar lets you tap any tag or combination of tags to quickly view tagged notes.

7. • View edit times and dates with highlighted text color-coded to match collaborators in the note.

8. • Add deep links from an app or website to a Quick Note to mark your place.

9. • Use your finger, or Apple Pencil on a compatible iPad, to sketch right in your note.

10. • Collaborate on entire shared folders or on specific shared notes.

11. • Mention friends to notify them of important updates and link them directly to a shared note.

12. Choose from a variety of brush styles and colors, and add lines and grids to a note for easier writing and drawing.

13. • Keep your notes in folders and subfolders, and sort them in the order you prefer.

14. • Use tags as a fast and flexible way to categorize and organize your notes.
