Things to note before removing TraceTogether:

  1. The developer of TraceTogether is Government Technology Agency and all inquiries must go to them.
  2. The GDPR gives EU and UK residents a "right to erasure" meaning that you can request app developers like Government Technology Agency to delete all your data it holds. Government Technology Agency must comply within 1 month.
  3. The CCPA lets American residents request that Government Technology Agency deletes your data or risk incurring a fine (upto $7,500 dollars).

Deleting from Smartphone 📱


Delete on iPhone:


  1. On your homescreen, Tap and hold TraceTogether until it starts shaking.
  2. Once it starts to shake, you'll see an X Mark at the top of the app icon.
  3. Click on that X to delete the TraceTogether app.

Delete on Android:


  1. Open your GooglePlay app and goto the menu.
  2. Click "My Apps and Games" » then "Installed".
  3. Choose TraceTogether, » then click "Uninstall".

1. TraceTogether supports Singapore’s efforts to fight the spread of COVID-19 through community-driven contact tracing.

2. TraceTogether notifies you quickly if you’ve been exposed to COVID-19 through close contact with other TraceTogether users.

3. It also helps us support the work of contact tracers and healthcare workers by combating the spread of COVID-19 together.

4. TraceTogether helps us ensure that we don’t spread the virus to our loved ones unknowingly.

5. It’ll be shared with MOH if you test positive for COVID-19, for the purpose of contact tracing.

6. The app uses Bluetooth, and your Bluetooth data is stored securely on your phone.

7. Also, all Bluetooth data stored on your phone is automatically deleted after 25 days.

8. To register, you will need a valid NRIC, FIN, or a valid document of your current stay in Singapore.

9. TraceTogether is designed for use by people in Singapore.

10. The app allows the Ministry of Health (MOH) to give you timely care and guidance, protecting you and those around you.

11. App functionality will cease once the outbreak ends.
