We have made it super easy to delete Birda - Bird ID & Birding account and/or app.

Things to note before removing Birda:

  1. The developer of Birda is Chirp Birding Ltd. and all inquiries must go to them.
  2. Check the Terms of Services and/or Privacy policy of Chirp Birding Ltd. to know if they support self-serve subscription cancellation:
  3. The GDPR gives EU and UK residents a "right to erasure" meaning that you can request app developers like Chirp Birding Ltd. to delete all your data it holds. Chirp Birding Ltd. must comply within 1 month.
  4. The CCPA lets American residents request that Chirp Birding Ltd. deletes your data or risk incurring a fine (upto $7,500 dollars).

Deleting from Smartphone 📱


Delete on iPhone:


  1. On your homescreen, Tap and hold Birda - Bird ID & Birding until it starts shaking.
  2. Once it starts to shake, you'll see an X Mark at the top of the app icon.
  3. Click on that X to delete the Birda - Bird ID & Birding app.

Delete on Android:


  1. Open your GooglePlay app and goto the menu.
  2. Click "My Apps and Games" » then "Installed".
  3. Choose Birda - Bird ID & Birding, » then click "Uninstall".

1. Birda is not your typical bird identifier app, it also connects the global community of birders irrespective of how they already record their sightings! Simply sync or import your records from eBird, Merlin Bird ID, iNaturalist, Birdtrack, Birdlasser, and more to get started.

2. Birda sends all of the sightings data it collects to the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) so that scientists can use it to understand more about the world’s bird species and their habitats.

3. Birda is a free bird app & community for anyone curious about nature and birds, no matter your level of knowledge or previous bird watching experience.

4. Stay motivated by joining challenges and making new friends - it’s free! Don’t know a bird? Use the global field guide or tap into the community and use HI (Human Intelligence) to identify what you have seen - and grow your birdwatching & ID knowledge faster.

5. Our taxonomic engine makes taxonomy seamless, allowing users to view each other’s bird sightings in their taxonomy of choice, irrespective of what is being used by other users.

7. Set up your home location, and Birda will also automatically create Home Lists and Patch lists for all the sightings you post within your Home and Patch boundaries.

9. If you want to move your records to another platform, you are free to export all of your sightings from Birda.
