Things to note before removing Compass:
- The developer of Compass is Apple and all inquiries must go to them.
- Check the Terms of Services and/or Privacy policy of Apple to know if they support self-serve subscription cancellation:
- The GDPR gives EU and UK residents a "right to erasure" meaning that you can request app developers like Apple to delete all your data it holds. Apple must comply within 1 month.
- The CCPA lets American residents request that Apple deletes your data or risk incurring a fine (upto $7,500 dollars).

Deleting from Smartphone 📱
Delete on iPhone:
- On your homescreen, Tap and hold Compass until it starts shaking.
- Once it starts to shake, you'll see an X Mark at the top of the app icon.
- Click on that X to delete the Compass app.
Delete on Android:
- Open your GooglePlay app and goto the menu.
- Click "My Apps and Games" » then "Installed".
- Choose Compass, » then click "Uninstall".

1. • Activate Backtrack when you are out on a walk, hike or bicycle ride to create a digital route back to your place of origin.
2. Find compass directions, see your latitude, longitude, and elevation, all with Compass from Apple.
3. • Add a Compass Waypoint to mark a point of interest like your campsite, tent or scenic lookout.
4. • Tap the screen to lock in the current heading, then watch for a red band to see if you’re on course.
5. Compass Waypoints you have saved can also be set as complications on your Watch face.
6. Tap the Backtrack button to start recording your route and tap it again when you are ready to retrace your steps.
7. • See the latitude and longitude of your current location.
8. • Check your elevation above sea level on iPhone 6 (or later) models.
