Things to note before removing AustralianETA:

  1. The developer of AustralianETA is Department of Home Affairs and all inquiries must go to them.
  2. Check the Terms of Services and/or Privacy policy of Department of Home Affairs to know if they support self-serve account deletion:
  3. The GDPR gives EU and UK residents a "right to erasure" meaning that you can request app developers like Department of Home Affairs to delete all your data it holds. Department of Home Affairs must comply within 1 month.
  4. The CCPA lets American residents request that Department of Home Affairs deletes your data or risk incurring a fine (upto $7,500 dollars).

Deleting from Smartphone 📱


Delete on iPhone:


  1. On your homescreen, Tap and hold AustralianETA until it starts shaking.
  2. Once it starts to shake, you'll see an X Mark at the top of the app icon.
  3. Click on that X to delete the AustralianETA app.

Delete on Android:


  1. Open your GooglePlay app and goto the menu.
  2. Click "My Apps and Games" » then "Installed".
  3. Choose AustralianETA, » then click "Uninstall".

🎌 About AustralianETA


1. The ETA allows eligible passport holders to travel to Australia for short term stays for tourism or business visitor purposes.

2. From 21 February 2022 all visa holders who are fully vaccinated for international travel purposes can travel to Australia without a travel exemption.

3. Unvaccinated visa holders will still need a valid travel exemption to enter Australia.

4. Grant of an ETA through the app does not mean you have been considered for or granted an exemption to travel to Australia.

5. An Australian Government mobile application that you can use to lodge an Australian Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) application.

6. Please note that use of the Australian ETA app incurs a non-refundable service fee of $20.
