We have made it super easy to delete VaxiCode account and/or app.

Things to note before removing VaxiCode:

  1. The developer of VaxiCode is Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux du Québec and all inquiries must go to them.
  2. The GDPR gives EU and UK residents a "right to erasure" meaning that you can request app developers like Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux du Québec to delete all your data it holds. Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux du Québec must comply within 1 month.
  3. The CCPA lets American residents request that Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux du Québec deletes your data or risk incurring a fine (upto $7,500 dollars).

Deleting from Smartphone 📱


Delete on iPhone:


  1. On your homescreen, Tap and hold VaxiCode until it starts shaking.
  2. Once it starts to shake, you'll see an X Mark at the top of the app icon.
  3. Click on that X to delete the VaxiCode app.

Delete on Android:


  1. Open your GooglePlay app and goto the menu.
  2. Click "My Apps and Games" » then "Installed".
  3. Choose VaxiCode, » then click "Uninstall".

🎌 About VaxiCode


1. VaxiCode is the official application from the gouvernement du Québec to allow citizens to securely record their proof of vaccination containing a QR code.

2. VaxiCode allows citizens to register multiple proofs of vaccination containing a QR code, as well as verify the contents of each of the QR codes.

3. With VaxiCode, users can also know their protection status from COVID-19, through an interpretation of their proof of vaccination.

4. Access to the camera is required to read QR codes of proof of vaccination, or access to the phone's photo library to import the image of proof of vaccination.

5. The proof of vaccination saved in VaxiCode is encrypted on the device and is not transmitted to anyone.

6. Only a presentation of the QR code allows the user to communicate their proof of vaccination to a third party.

7. VaxiCode requires a weekly update, via the Internet, of the vaccine protection rules.

8. The only communication with the Internet by VaxiCode takes place when checking the availability of these updates.

9. VaxiCode requires at least an iPhone, or iPod touch on iOS 11 or newer.

10. The app asks for user consent before downloading new rules.
