Things to note before removing ResponsiBLUE:

  1. The developer of ResponsiBLUE is The University of Michigan and all inquiries must go to them.
  2. The GDPR gives EU and UK residents a "right to erasure" meaning that you can request app developers like The University of Michigan to delete all your data it holds. The University of Michigan must comply within 1 month.
  3. The CCPA lets American residents request that The University of Michigan deletes your data or risk incurring a fine (upto $7,500 dollars).

Deleting from Smartphone 📱


Delete on iPhone:


  1. On your homescreen, Tap and hold ResponsiBLUE until it starts shaking.
  2. Once it starts to shake, you'll see an X Mark at the top of the app icon.
  3. Click on that X to delete the ResponsiBLUE app.

Delete on Android:


  1. Open your GooglePlay app and goto the menu.
  2. Click "My Apps and Games" » then "Installed".
  3. Choose ResponsiBLUE, » then click "Uninstall".

🎌 About ResponsiBLUE


1. Based on the responses, users will either see a green screen with a check mark, indicating they can enter a U-M building, or a red screen, indicating that they should stay home and take specific actions based on University guidelines.

2. ResponsiBLUE is an app for University of Michigan students, faculty, and staff to help protect the entire U-M community and reduce the spread of COVID-19.

3. The screening tool asks a series of questions based on CDC guidance related to COVID-19 symptoms and contact with others.

4. This app was developed by U-M Information and Technology Services in partnership with the Office of Research and University of Michigan leadership.

5. The app includes a daily self-screening tool for community members to use before entering U-M buildings.
