Things to note before removing COVID Certificate:

The developer of COVID Certificate is Bundesamt für Gesundheit BAG and all inquiries must go to them.
The GDPR gives EU and UK residents a "right to erasure" meaning that you can request app developers like Bundesamt für Gesundheit BAG to delete all your data it holds. Bundesamt für Gesundheit BAG must comply within 1 month.
The CCPA lets American residents request that Bundesamt für Gesundheit BAG deletes your data or risk incurring a fine (upto $7,500 dollars).

Deleting from Smartphone 📱

Delete on iPhone:

On your homescreen, Tap and hold COVID Certificate until it starts shaking.
Once it starts to shake, you'll see an X Mark at the top of the app icon.
Click on that X to delete the COVID Certificate app.

Delete on Android:

Open your GooglePlay app and goto the menu.
Click "My Apps and Games" » then "Installed".
Choose COVID Certificate, » then click "Uninstall".

🎌 About COVID Certificate

1. When the app is first launched after installation on the mobile device, a brief introduction provides information on how to use it and how to scan a hard-copy COVID certificate.

2. COVID Certificate is the official app for storing and presenting Swiss COVID certificates.

3. In Switzerland, people who have been vaccinated, or who have tested negative or recovered from COVID can apply for a COVID certificate.

4. COVID certificate data is stored solely on the mobile device.

5. It is possible to store several COVID certificates in the app, e.g. for family members, or several COVID test certificates.

6. In the app, the required COVID certificate can be selected, and presented if desired.

7. COVID certificates are generated by the FOITT, but are not stored in a central system.

8. Use of the COVID Certificate app is voluntary and free of charge.

9. COVID certificates are protected by a digital seal (signature) and are thus forgery-proof.

10. It is developed by the Federal Office of Information Technology, Systems and Telecommunication FOITT on behalf of the Federal Office of Public Health.

11. All data contained in a certificate's QR code can also be displayed.

12. That is why it is not possible to obtain a copy of an issued certificate.

13. The app shows the time of your vaccination or test and how long ago you had the vaccination or test.

14. The use of the app is limited to Switzerland and is subject to Swiss law.
