  1. On your homescreen, Tap and hold QuakeAlertUSA until it starts shaking.
  2. Once it starts to shake, you'll see an X Mark at the top of the app icon.
  3. Click on that X to delete the QuakeAlertUSA app.

  1. Open your GooglePlay app and goto the menu.
  2. Click "My Apps and Games" » then "Installed".
  3. Choose QuakeAlertUSA, » then click "Uninstall".

1. This alert includes information about the expected shaking intensity at your location and the time until the expected shaking, along with a message instructing you to drop, cover, and hold on.

2. With Bypass Do Not Disturb enabled, you can ensure that the audio alert can be played at any time, even if your phone is on silent or do not disturb allowing you to react in time for the incoming shaking.

3. The QuakeAlertUSA app will alert you that an earthquake has occurred and will send a push alert to your mobile device.

4. This App is an official pilot created in partnership with the U.S. Geological Survey and should be considered a “beta” product with no implied guarantees.

5. Warning times can range from 10 to 60+ seconds depending on the location, depth, and magnitude of the earthquake’s epicenter.

6. The QuakeAlertUSA app uses data provided by the USGS and ShakeAlert.

7. The app covers users while they are physically within the boundaries of the State of California.
